Fark writes a book about “How Mass Media Tries to Pass Off Crap As News”, which is blatantly advertised on their website using Farkitrol®, a fake prescription medicine website claiming to help “Missing White Girl Syndrome”. Today Fark sold entire views of the site’s advertising to ABC for a 20/20 special claiming to show a tape of prime suspect Joran Van der Sloot, as he admits being there when Natalee Holloway was dying.
If you believe stories about missing white girls are crap news, why decide to advertise exactly that to your users?

I dunno, sounds sort of like sarcasm and funny-fun to me. What’s the big deal? Did you think Fark really seriously thought no one should ever cover Missing White Girl stories? Don’t you get the dark sarcasm there?
